BUFFALO, NY – Visiting Oswego raced out to a 10-2 lead after one quarter, creating an insurmountable lead in a 18-7 victory over the Buffalo State lacrosse team on Wednesday evening at Coyer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Oswego scored to open up the scoring just 57 seconds into the game, but
Nevaeh Herd (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) tied the score at 1-1 with a free position goal with 12:55 remaining in the quarter.
-The Lakers went on a 8-0 scoring run over the next ten minutes to stretch the lead to 9-1, and each team tallied a goal in the final minute as Oswego led 10-2 after one period.

Kacey Stack (Blasdell, NY/Frontier) knotched the first goal of the second quarter off a great feed by Linsday Wademan (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy), before Oswego responded with three straight goals.

Ricki Miller (Ohsweken, ON/Hagersville) scored with six seconds remaining to made it 13-4 at halftime.
-Schultheis scored early in the second half to get the Bengals within eight, but Oswego quickly pushed the lead back up to 11, and closed out the 18-7 victory.
FOR THE FOES
-Madison Davis had five goals and two assists, while Sela Wiley scored four goals and added three assists for the Lakers.
