Cheerleading finishes fifth at NCA National Championships

DAYTONA, Fla. – The Buffalo State cheerleading program finished fifth in a hotly-contested championship meet, as teams from around the country competed in the National Cheerleaders Association National Championships from April 7-8 at the Ocean Arena.
 
The Bengals placed 5th out of 17 teams with an event score of 91.5209 in the DIII Intermediate All-Girl Division, the second largest division of the entire competition. The top-five consisted of extremely tight scores, as Bridgewater State won with a score of 97.3704, followed by Fitchburg State (94.4792), Salisbury (91.9074), and UMass-Boston (91.7917). Buffalo State and third-place Salisbury were separated by less than .4 points.
