NEW PALTZ, NY - The Buffalo State lacrosse team scored first, but host New Paltz responded with 10 consecutive first half goals to help pull away for a 14-3 victory on Saturday morning.

-Sarah Fineour (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) led the Bengals with two goals.
-Julia Wachna (Syracuse, NY/Onondaga) scored a goal and added an assist.
-Liz Schultheis (Holley, NY/Brockport) tallied an assist.
-Ricki Miller (Ohsweken, ON/Hagersville) had three ground balls to lead Buffalo State.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Fineour opened the scoring under two minutes into the game.
-New Paltz responded by ending the half on a 10-0 run to take a 10-1 halftime lead
-Each team scored twice in the third quarter, as Fineour found the net unassisted, and Wachna scored off an assist from Schultheis.
-The Hawks added two goals in the fourth quarter for the 14-3 final score.
FOR THE FOES
-Kaitlyn Shaw had five goals and two assists to lead New Paltz.
