Tala Abdellatif (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) scored the game-tying goal with 30 seconds left in regulation and
Lauren Rinow (Lake View, N.Y./Frontier) scored the game-winning goal at the 2:00 mark of the second overtime, as the Buffalo State lacrosse team outlasted Fredonia by a 6-5 score on a snow-filled Wednesday afternoon from University Stadium. At 70:00, it's the longest game in the 28-year history of the lacrosse program.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOXSCORE
- Rinow's game-winner was her ninth of the season, while Abdellatif's tally was her 11th.

- The Bengals outshot Fredonia by a 31-18 margin and were 11-of-12 in clear attempts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- With the Bengals trailing 5-4 in the final minute of regulation, Wachna lofted a pass in traffic, finding Abdellatif, who one-timed a shot past Fredonia goalie Emily Carr, tying the game.
- In the extra session, Schultheis had a chance to win midway through, but her chance was parried away by Carr.
- In the final seconds, Fredonia had a few shots near target, with one bouncing off the post as the game moved into halftime of the first overtime.
- Down two people in the beginning of the second overtime thanks to a simultaneous yellow and green card, the Bengals fought it off, keeping Fredonia off the board.
- Fredonia did get a chance to score in the final five seconds of the period, but Audrey's shot went high.
- Four minutes into the fourth overtime, Rinow finished the job, as she curled around a Bengal screen and fired a low shot from distance, beating Carr as the team mobbed the rookie in celebration.
- A Schultheis tally in transition got Buffalo State on the board midway through the opening quarter.
- Fredonia responded at the 2:38 mark, as Molly McGowan found Erin Woods for the tally.
- Fineour struck back on the next possession, tallying her team-leading 29th goal, giving the Bengals a 2-1 lead after one.
- Schultheis extended 'State's lead to 3-1 in the second quarter, converting on a free position opportunity.
- Fredonia scored twice in the third quarter to tie the game at three, as McGowan and Culver scored.
- Late in the third, Schultheis tallied her third of the game, and 29th of the season, giving the Bengals the lead.
- Fredonia tied the game early in the fourth, and later took the 5-4 lead thanks to a Culver feed to Woods with 9:44 to go.
- Both defenses stood strong for nine minutes, keeping the one-goal margin. The Bengals forced a turnover with 1:28 to go in regulation, setting the stage for the Abdellatif tally.
