BUFFALO, NY – Four members of the Buffalo State women's track and field team will compete at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Outdoor Championships on Wednesday and Thursday, May 18-19, at Moravian University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. A pair of Bengal student-athletes have qualified for individual events, while a relay squad has also qualified.

BENGAL QUALIFIERS

Clara Sensini (Kingston, NY/Kingston) is headed to the regionals with the eighth-fastest time in the 400-meter hurdles. She finished fifth at the SUNYAC Championships, racing a season-best time of 1:04.16 in the qualifying round. She is also qualified for regionals in the 400-meter dash, as her time of 59.55 seconds at the Geneseo Early Season Invitational was good enough for 34
th in the region.

Makhia Laster (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter) has the 32
nd best time in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash. She secured qualification in the 200-meters at the Widener Invitational, and finished fifth at the SUNYAC Championships in the 100-meter final with a time of 12.52 seconds.
-The 4X400 meter relay team of
Tori Florczak (Depew, NY/St. Mary's of Lancaster),
Brooklyn Lawrence (Buffalo, NY/Cheektowaga Central), Laster, and Sensini also qualified at the SUNYAC Championships, finishing third in a time of 4:02.04.
TEAMS COMPETING
Qualifying athletes from 55 member universities of the AARTFC will compete in the regionals, looking to advance to the NCAA Championships on May 25-28.
