BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's soccer team took a 2-0 victory this afternoon in a non-conference matchup with Alfred State on Coyer Field.

- Ryan Berman (River Edge, NJ/River Dell) got the Bengals on the board early in the second half.
- Near the end of regulation, Caleigh Hoerner (Lancaster, NY/Alden) scored her first collegiate goal.
- Kaylee Valentic (N. Tonawanda, NY/N. Tonawanda) and Chloe Adams (Watertown, NY/Watertown) each had an assist.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams could not find the net in the first half, however, the Bengals outshot Alfred State 5-3.
- In the 48th minute, Berman found the net shortly after a free kick.
- The Bengals defense stayed strong despite late threats from the Pioneers.
- Within the final minute, Valentic found Hoerner across the field to secure the Bengals win.
- Samantha Kaufman (Cheektowaga, NY/West Seneca East) made three saves for Buffalo State, securing the Sunday shutout.
