CAZENOVIA, NY— Three Bengals scored their first goals of the season as the Buffalo State women's soccer team earned their second win of the year this afternoon by defeating Cazenovia 3-1 at Christakos Field.

- Netalia Herrera (Arkville, NY/Margaretville) and Lily Massung (East Lyme, CT/East Lyme) each scored their first collegiate goals as well.
- The trio of Taylor Clisson (Syracuse, NY/Solvay), Samantha Kaufman (Cheektowaga, NY/West Seneca East), and Bella Vene (Deer Park, NY/Deer Park) combined to make three crucial saves for the Bengals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals got on the board early thanks to Esslie's goal in the fifth minute.
- Ten minutes later in the action, Jaylah Cossin scored her first goal of the year to tie the game 1-1.
- Both offenses remained quiet until the second half.
- Massung scored in the 62nd minute, and Herrera notched her first goal just one minute later; giving the Bengals a 3-1 lead.
- Near the end of regulation, Vene made the save to secure the Bengals win.
FOR THE FOES
- Jaylah Cossin scored the lone goal for the Wildcats.
- Cazenovia made a combined 10 saves in the effort.
