INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
  • Kozyrev registered four points in a game for the second time this season, also doing so in a victory over Brockport.
  • Tyler Vanuden (Fort Frances, ON/Finlandia University) scored a goal and also added an assist.
  • Connor Bizal (Elk River, MN/Boston Jr. Rangers) also scored, while Hayden Ford (Medford, NY/Philadelphia Revolution) scored his first goal of the season.
  • Emil Norrman (Kungsbacka, Sweden/Dells Ducks) was excellent as always in goal, stopping 35 shots for his 11th victory of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The opening minutes of the first period were back and forth, with neither team able to gain the upper hand.
  • Bizal put the Bengals in front headed into the intermission, tapping in a rebound at the back post after Kozyrev's initial shot was saved.
  • Morrisville knotted the score at 1-1 with a power-play goal early in the second period.
  • Ford put the Bengals back in front minutes later, snapping a wrist shot from the left circle into the top corner of the net.
  • Great quick passing from Aidan LaValley (Champlain, NY/Vermont Lumberjacks) and Kozyrev created a chance in front of goal for Vanuden, who made no mistake to give the Bengals a 3-1 lead.
  • Morrisville pulled a goal back just before the intermission, as Brett Tibbs snuck a shot past Norrman.
  • Vanuden thought he had another goal, but the goal was ruled out due to offsides after a lengthy discussion of the officials.
  • The Bengals clung to the one-goal advantage for most of the third period, and Kozyrev was able to seal the victory with an empty-net goal with under a minute remaining for the 4-2 final score.

FOR THE FOES
  • Tibbs and Trevor Grasby both scored for Morrisville, while Ryan Creenan made 28 saves in goal.
