BROCKPORT, NY – Host Brockport recorded a .309 hitting percentage as a team, and held the Bengals to a .009 hitting percentage as the Golden Eagles defeated the Buffalo State women's volleyball team in straight sets on Saturday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Ella Wittman (Cheektowaga, NY/Springville Griffith) had six kills to lead the Bengals in that category.
- Eden Harrison (Eldersburg, MD/Century) registered a .300 hitting percentage, with three kills on 10 attempts.
- Jenna Hugenschmidt (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) led the Bengals' defense with 13 digs, and also had two of the three Buffalo State service aces.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brockport raced out to a 9-1 lead in the opening set. The Golden Eagles stretched their advantage to as many as 16 on the way to a 25-9 victory.
- An 11-2 run by Brockport in the second set turned a 5-4 lead into a 16-6 edge. After the teams traded points, back-to-back kills by Wittman pulled the Bengals within eight, before Brockport won the final four points of the set.
- The Bengals trailed 13-6 in the third set, before rallying back to tie the score at 24-24 thanks to back-to-back kills by Harrison and Wittman. Buffalo State then fought off two match points, before Brockport was able to close out the match on its third match point.
FOR THE FOES
- Jordan Thompson led Brockport with 15 kills, while Brooklyn Sullivan had 23 digs.
