PLATTSBURGH, NY – The Buffalo State women's volleyball team swept the Plattsburgh Cardinals in three sets tonight to officially clinch a playoff spot at Memorial Hall.

- Ella Wittman (Cheektowaga, NY/Springville Griffith), Eden Harrison (Eldersburg, MD/Century) and Samantha Coakley (Lockport, NY/Lockport) led the Bengals offensive attack with eight kills each.
- Karlie Shaffer (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown East) dished out 15 assists.
- Adi Vergara (Rio Grande, Puerto Rico/Kingdom Christian) had seven digs to lead the Bengals on defense.
- Buffalo State had 14 service aces throughout the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The start of the match was a constant back-and-forth affair as each side was nearly point-for-point.
- After a three point swing, the Bengals were finally able to gain some cushion.
- The Cardinals attempted a late surge, but Buffalo State was able to rally off three of the last five points to secure the set.
- The Bengals came out firing in the second set jumping out to a quick 5-2 lead.
- After Plattsburgh rallied to tie things up, Buffalo State went on a dominant 12-2 run.
- The Bengals scored six of nine to finish off the second set.
- Buffalo State jumped out again early in the third set kicking things off with a 6-2 run.
- Plattsburgh attempted to climb back into the action, however, the Bengals continued the pressure and cruised for the victory.
FOR THE FOES
- Darby Collyear led the Cardinals with eight kills.
- Emma Rivers had 12 assists while Payton Zophy tallied 11 digs in the effort.
