BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's hockey team dropped an overtime thriller to Neumann on Saturday afternoon by a score of 3-2 at the Ice Arena.

- Liz Flores (Colleyville, TX/Dallas Stars Elite), Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Buffalo Bisons), Arissa Vettraino (Lake Villa, IL/Milwaukee Jr. Admirals), and Rylee Garrow (Akwesasne, NY/St. Lawrence Steel) recorded an assist apiece.
- Jessica Auge (Laingsburg, MI/Honeybaked Detroit) made 17 saves in goal.
- Garrow won 16-of-22 faceoffs, while Madi Digges (Madison, AL/St. Louis Blues AAA) won 15-of-22 faceoffs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first period, as Neumann goaltender Ella Sciborski made 10 saves and Auge handled all six of her chances.
- The Knights struck first with just under one minute remaining in the second period on a shot from the point through a screen to lead 1-0 after two periods.
- Buffalo State had a penalty shot midway through the third period after a delay of game penalty, but Ramseier's backhand was stopped by Sciborski.
- Neumann added a second goal a minute later, as a shot from the point deflected into the right corner of the net.
- The Bengals pulled within one with a power-play goal with five minutes remaining, as Ramseier sent a tight-angle shot into the back of the net off a feed from Vettraino.
- In the final minute, Buffalo State pulled Auge for an extra skater, and the Groh poked in a loose puck to know the score with 41.8 seconds remaining.
- Neumann netted the winner just one minute into the overtime period after a turnover in the Buffalo State zone, as Jamiyah Alexander ripped a shot past Auge.
FOR THE FOES
- Sciborski finished with 40 saves to earn the win in goal.
