BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's soccer team came away with a crucial SUNAYC win this afternoon after defeating the Potsdam Bears by a 2-1 final on Coyer Field.

• Aladin Ali (Rochester, NY/East Irondequoit) and Yousif Kowa (Buffalo, NY/Hutch Tech) each scored for Buffalo State.

• Kowa's headed deflected in the air right to Ali who was able to dive to his right and head in his first goal of the season.
• The Bengals defense would keep Potsdam quiet the rest of the half.
• Kowa got his goal late in the first after a corner kick from Mohamed.
• Kowa was able to reach his foot out and tap it in for the easy score.
• The Buffalo State defense was solid again through much of the second half.
• Luke Clark netted the lone Potsdam goal after a quick tap from his teammate.
• The Bengals cruised the final few minutes to earn a crucial SUNYAC win.

• Justin Mossey picked up the assist for the Bears.
