INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Tyler Penree (New Hartford, NY/Vermont Lumberjacks) led the Bengals with a goal and an assist.
- Blango, Joe Glamos (Baldwinsville, NY/New Jersey Titans), and Ryan Messing (Hamburg, NY/Metro Jets) each netted their first goal of the season.

- Ten different players recorded a point for the Bengals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Penree got the scoring started 6:52 into the opening period, as his wrist shot from the right circle deflected past the goalie after a pass from below the goal line by Anthony Morin (Greenfield Center, NY/Utica Jr. Comets).
- Fredonia knotted the score after the midway point of the frame, as a wrist shot from the left blue line made its way through a screen in front of the Bengals' net past Cumberworth.
- The score remained 1-1 into the first intermission.
- Blango gave the Bengals the lead 5:32 into the second period on a rebound in front. An initial shot from the right circle by Connor Bizal (Elk River, MN/Boston Jr. Rangers) was saved, and the loose puck in front of goal was sent across the crease by Aidan LaValley (Champlain, NY/Vermont Lumberjacks) and tapped in at the back post by Blango.
- Buffalo State extended the lead with under eight minutes to go in the second period. Jake Meure (Fremont, CA/Ogden Mustangs) dumped the puck in from center ice, Jared Figueroa (Scotch Plains, NY/Florida Eels) chased it down and sent a drop pass to Messing, who wristed a shot into top right corner of the net.
- Buffalo State took advantage of a 5-on-3 power play for the fourth goal midway through the third period, as a shot from above the left circle by Parker Allison (Dallas, TX/Neepawa Natives) was blocked right to Glamos, who sent a wrist shot from the right side past the goalie.
- Cumberworth made 16 saves in the third period to maintain the Bengals' lead.
