ROCHESTER, NY – The Buffalo State men's basketball team fell short in the consolation game of the Golden Flyer Invitational against SUNY Canton by a final score of 84-78 at the Kidera Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals opened today's contest with a 15-12 start.
- After Canton tied things up 17-17, the Roo's began to pull away.
- After a pair of free throws from Jaiden Allen (Marlboro, NY/Marlboro), the Bengals cut the lead down to three.
- The Bengals got the lead to just one, however, Canton made a late surge on offense and went into the half up 48-39.
- Canton saw their lead get to a game-high 12 in the second half.
- Following a fast break layup from JJ Johnson (Lockport, NY/Royalton-Hartland), the Bengals cut the lead again to just three.
- Canton hung on in the final minutes to secure the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Terrence Fields and Moe Biao led Canton with 15 points each.
- Brennan Harmer had a game-high seven assists.
