HOW IT HAPPENED
- Utica opened the action jumping out to a quick four point lead.
- Buffalo State rallied as the score was even at 11-11 after a jumper from JJ Johnson (Lockport, NY/Royalton-Hartland).
- The Pioneers retook the lead and carried it into the half leading 37-30.
- Utica dominated the second half seeing their lead get to a game-high 30 points.
- After a pair of impressive baskets from Tysse Rahman (Westbury, NY/Bishop Loughlin), the Pioneers cruised the final minutes to secure the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Justice Brantley and Hagen Foley each had 11 points for Utica.
- Dayion Thompson had three steals, four assists, and five rebounds to lead the Pioneers.
