Blair Estarfaa earned his first career win as the Buffalo State women's basketball team took the win tonight with a 63-46 final against La Roche University at the Sports Arena.

- Emma Cohen (Utica, NY/TR Proctor) tallied a career-high 16 points.
- Cohen and Chloe Hanson (Skaneateles, NY/Moravia) had six rebounds each.
- Cohen and Maddy Stearns (Clarence, NY/Clarence) each led the way with three assists.
- As a team, the Bengals were 14-16 from the free throw line.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals came out firing in the first quarter starting the night with a 7-0 run: capped-off by a jumper from Xaneya Thomas (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton).
- La Roche finally got their offense going, but the Bengals led 17-7 after the first.
- The Redhawks found some rhythm on offense with a pair of three pointers to tie things up 23-23.
- La Roche and Buffalo State went back-and-forth as the Redhawks had a narrow 31-30 lead at halftime.
- Buffalo State opened the second half with a quick 10-3 run as they regained the lead following a pair of free throws from Cohen.
- The Bengals finished the third quarter scoring the final seven points to lead 49-39 with ten minutes to play.
- Buffalo State cruised the final ten minutes outscoring La Roche 14-7 to get their first win of the year and earn Estarfaa the first win of his coaching career.
FOR THE FOES
- Jazmine Dunn led the way for the Redhawks with 13 points and nine rebounds.
- Makayla Abram had a game-high 10 rebounds.
