BUFFALO, NY – Visiting Morrisville score the go-ahead goal with 7:16 remaining in the third period, and the Buffalo State women's hockey team was unable to find an equalizer in a 2-1 defeat on Friday evening at the Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Morrisville took advantage of a fortuitous bounce early in the first period to take the lead. A pass from a Bengal defenseman struck off the referee and redirected our from of goal right to Hailee Easson, who wristed a shot past Auge.
- The Bengals were unable to capitalize on a 5-on-3 power play midway through the period.
- Willick netted the equalizer late in the frame, as Tingley stole the puck in the neutral zone, made a cross-ice pass to Willick, who deked the goalie and slid a backhand into a nearly-empty net.
- Auge made 16 saves in the second period to keep the score tied at 1-1 into the second intermission, and the Mustangs had a goal disallowed due to a high stick.
- Morrisville netted the eventual game winner 12:44 into the third period on a shot right in front of goal by Alana McDonald.
- The Bengals pressed for an equalizer, and pulled Auge with just over a minute remaining, but weren't able to tie the score.

- Maggie Jones made 26 saves in goal for the Mustangs.
