THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: M.S.O.E. – 4, Buffalo State – 3 (OT)
LOCATION: Kern Center – Milwaukee, WI
RECORDS: M.S.O.E (5-3-1), Buffalo State (3-6)

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
  • Aidan LaValley (Champlain, NY/Vermont Lumberjacks) netted his team-high fourth goal of the season for the Bengals.
  • Parker Allison (Dallas, TX/Neepawa Natives) scored for the third time this year, while Michael McCosh (Glendale, AZ/New Mexico Ice Wolves) scored his first goal of the season. McCosh also added an assist for the Bengals.
  • Marcus Cumberworth (Surrey, BC/Olds Grizzlys) stopped 36 shots in goal for the Bengals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • M.S.O.E controlled play for the majority of the first period, but Cumberworth was up to the task with 15 saves in the period to keep the game scoreless into the first intermission.
  • The Raiders finally broke through for a goal 4:31 into the second period to take a 1-0 lead.
  • The advantage was short-lived, as LaValley tapped in a rebound off a shot from the right point by Andrew Langlois (Aurora, ON/Cornwall Colts) just 53 seconds later to tie the score.
  • After the Bengals successfully killed a power-play for M.S.O.E., Allison found the back of the net from the left point to give Buffalo State a 2-1 lead just before the midway point of the period.
  • The Bengals tacked on a power-play goal after a 5-minute major penalty by the Raiders. Connor Bizal (Elk River, MN/Boston Jr. Rangers) sent a cross-ice pass to Jake Meure (Fremont, CA/Ogden Mustangs), who went back across the ice to McCosh for a tic-tac-toe goal.
  • Buffalo State held the 3-1 lead into the third period.
  • The Raiders pulled within one early in the third period with just 2:28 off the clock.
  • Midway through the frame, Buffalo State was unable to capitalize on a 5-on-3 power play, and shortly after, M.S.O.E. scored the equalizing goal to send the game to overtime.
  • Late in the overtime period, the Bengals held the puck in the Raiders' defensive zone, before a turnover sprung M.S.O.E. on a two-on-one opportunity the other way. Jacob Bosse's cross-ice feed found Jones, who finished past Cumberworth to win the game for the Raiders.

FOR THE FOES
  • Seth Bernard and Jones each had a goal and an assist for the Raiders.
