BROCKPORT, NY – A pair of Brockport goals in the third period proved to be the difference as the host Golden Eagles earned a 5-3 victory over the Buffalo State men's hockey in SUNYAC action on Friday evening.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE

• Tyler Penree (New Hartford, NY/Vermont Lumberjacks), Anthony Morin (Greenfield Center, NY/Utica Jr. Comets), and Joe Glamos (Baldwinsville, NY/New Jersey Titans) each scored for Buffalo State.
• Jackson Barrett (Zionsville, IN/Northland College) and Jason Kwestel (Rockaway, NJ/Valley Wildcats) each had an assist.
• Marcus Cumberworth (Surrey, BC/Olds Grizzlys) made 32 saves in goal for Buffalo State.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Brockport dominated the opening period, holding a 2-0 edge at the intermission and outshooting Buffalo State 14-4.
• The Bengals pulled a goal back 3:53 into the second period, as Glamos took a centering pass from Chris Blango (Chadds Ford, PA/Philadelphia Little Flyers) and went top shelf to beat the goalie.
• Brockport responded with a goal on a cross-ice feed just five minutes later to regain a two-goal advantage.
• Back-to-back goals by the Bengals in the span of 1:34 tied the game into the second intermission. Morin scored from in front of goal through traffic, then Penree ripped a wrist shot into the right corner of the net to equalize at 3-3.
• Early in the third period, Brockport went ahead again with an unassisted goal, then added a second goal midway through the period for the 5-3 final score.

 
FOR THE FOES

• Connor Galloway scored twice and added a pair of assists, while Josh Grund had a goal and two assists.
