HOUGHTON, NY – The Buffalo State indoor track and field teams had several strong performances as they opened their 2023-24 campaign at the Houghton December Classic at the Kerr-Pegula Field House.

FOR THE BENGAL WOMEN

• Makhia Laster (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter) earned the victory in the 60-meter dash with a mark of 7.75 seconds.
• Laster earned a second win in the 300-meter dash with a time of 41.17 seconds.
• Jenna Raczka (Cheektowaga, NY/Maryvale) finished fourth while Destiny Rivera (Brooklyn, NY/Brooklyn Liberal Arts) crossed the line in tenth.
• Zanikhat Keshiro (Amherst, NY/Amherst) finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles.
