CANTON, NY – Host Canton scored four goals in the third period to turn a 1-1 game into a 5-2 victory over the Buffalo State women's hockey team on Friday afternoon in SUNYAC action.

- Grace Zwolak (Stoney Creek, ON/Niagara Falls Rapids) scored the first goal of her career for Buffalo State, while Hannah Tingley (Stoneboro, PA/Washington Pride) also netted a goal for the Bengals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tingley got the scoring started just 1:02 into the first period, taking the puck down the right side and sending a shot that caught the Canton goalie off guard for the opening goal.
- Buffalo State killed a pair of penalties to keep the 1-0 edge despite increased pressure from the Roos.
- Canton found the equalizer on Danika Lalonde's goal with less than three minutes left in the period to knot the game heading into the intermission.
- Auge stopped 19 shots for Buffalo State in the period.
- The teams played a scoreless second period, with Canton and Buffalo State both successfully killing a penalty apiece.
- Canton took the lead inside the first minute of the third period, on Lalonde's second goal of the game, and increased the advantage 3:56 into the period as Lalonde completed her hat trick.
- The Roos added another goal just past the midway point of the period, before Zwolak redirected a shot from the point from Adimey for a power-play goal with 3:15 remaining in the game.
- Desiree Snook sealed the victory for Canton with 1:31 remaining on a wrist shot from the slot.

- Lalonde recorded four points on three goals and one assist, while Snook scored twice and added an assist to lead Canton.
