HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Buffalo State scored on its first two shots on goal of the contest to take an early 2-0 lead just six minutes into the contest.
  • Bizal started the scoring 1:54 into the game, tapping in a pass from Glamos at the back post for his first goal of the season.
  • Penree doubled the advantage four minutes later, knocking a backhand into the right corner of the net off a pass from Jake Meure (Fremont, CA/Ogden Mustangs) on a 2-on-1 break.
  • Cumberworth stopped all nine shots he faced in the period to give the Bengals a 2-0 lead at the intermission.
  • Plattsburgh State scored three goals in the second period, taking advantage of a pair of defensive misplays by Buffalo State to tie the score into the second intermission.
  • Bennett Stockdale blasted a slap shot past Cumberworth for the first goal just five minutes into the period.
  • Glamos knocked in a rebound that was sitting behind Plattsburgh State goalie Eli Shiller for a power-play goal to restore a two-goal advantage for Buffalo State.
  • A redirection in front of goal for Plattsburgh State made it 3-2 just 32 seconds later.
  • The Cardinals tied the game at 12:56 of the period after Cumberworth played the puck from behind his goal to a Cardinal forward, who passed the puck out front for a tap-in to an empty goal.
