OSWEGO, NY – The Buffalo State women's hockey team dropped their NEWHL matchup with the Oswego State Lakers this afternoon by a 9-1 final at the Marano Campus Center Arena.

• Carys Ursell (Calgary AB/Calgary Fire) scored the lone goal for Buffalo State.
• Angelina Cruzal (Campbell, CA/San Jose Jr. Sharks) picked up the assist on the goal.
• Jessica Auge (Laingsburg, MI/Honeybaked Detroit) racked up 41 saves for the Bengals.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lakers offense got off to a fast start they scored within the first two minutes of the game.
• Oswego would add another goal shortly after, and then pick up a third at the end of the first period.
• The Lakers would add three more goals in the second period.
• Buffalo State got on the board early in the third as Ursell found the net for the sixth time this season.
• Oswego kept their offense going to finish off the 9-1 victory.

 
FOR THE FOES

• Morgan Shines had a hat trick for the Lakers.
• Ariella Hass scored twice and dished out two assists.
• The duo of Lexi Levy and Rachel Brase combined for 22 saves in the win.
