FREDONIA, NY – The Buffalo State women's basketball team fell short in their "Battle by the Lake" matchup with Fredonia this afternoon as they fell 55-38 at the Dods Hall Gym.

- Jadyn Jones (Gowanda, NY/Lake Shore) paced the Bengals offense with 10 points in the effort.
- Jones also had a team-high eight rebounds and dished out two assists.
- Carly Atty (Tribes Hill, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) has five points of her own and had a game-high five assists.
- As a team, the Bengals were 5-7 from the free throw line.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jones and Atty led the Bengals in the first quarter as the duo scored the team's first five points.
- In the second, Buffalo State was unable to capitalize as they trailed going into halftime 27-9.
- The Bengals found their rhythm in the third, however, Fredonia was able to hold strong and gradually pull away to end the quarter up 25.
- The Blue Devils were able to secure the win in the final minutes.
FOR THE FOES
- Laurell Brown led the Blue Devils with 10 points on the afternoon.
- Mary Culeton had seven of her own and a team-high seven rebounds, and four assists.
