BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's hockey team swept their weekend matchups with the Hilbert Hawks as they took a dominant 10-0 win today at the Buffalo State Ice Arena

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Hannah Tingley (Stoneboro, PA/Washington Pride) and Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Buffalo Bisons) led the Bengals with two goals each.
- Carissa Buyea (Kenmore, NY/Buffalo Bisons), Carys Ursell (Calgary, AB/Calgary Fire), Bethany Horvatits (Elma, NY/Cazenovia Chiefs), Amanda Mindzora (Parma, OH/Gilmour Prep Academy), Alexa Groh (Elma, NY/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles), and Angelina Cruzal (Campbell, CA/San Jose Jr. Sharks) each scored a goal for Buffalo State.
- Horvatits also had three assists as 11 other Bengals also registered as least one assist.
- Jessica Auge (Laingsburg, MI/Honeybaked Detroit) tallied 13 saves for her second consecutive shutout.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State scored three goals in the first five minutes as Tingley was able to find the back of the net to get the offense going.
- Horvatits would shoot off of a feed from Groh and Rylee Garrow (Akwesasne, NY/St. Lawrence Steel) to give the Bengals another goal on a power play opportunity.
- Mindzora would also score on a power play effort as Buffalo State closed out the first period up 7-0.
- In the second, Willick scored the Bengals third power play goal and Tingley would get her second goal of the game shortly after.
- Groh would net the final goal for Buffalo State as the Bengals closed out a second consecutive win.
FOR THE FOES
- Abby MacNeil led the Hawks with four shots.
- Cassie Troy and Jewely Monford combined to make 41 saves.
