BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's lacrosse team took the win over Alfred University by a 14-5 final at Coyer Field tonight.
Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville East) paced the Bengals with six goals in the win.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Sage Running Rabbit (Siksika, AB/Strathmore) picked up three goals and two assists.
- Five other Bengals netted a goal including Anastacia Wells (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) who scored the first of her career.
- Running Rabbit and Wells each had four ground balls while Willick had five draw controls.
- Beth Kulikowski (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) and Moira Penot (Clifton Heights, PA/Upper Darby) combined to pick up six saves in the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State got on the board early as Running Rabbit scored just two minutes in.
- The Bengals would add two more goals to close out the first.
- Alfred would get on the board with a pair of goals in the second, but Buffalo State kept churning on offense and went into the half with a 9-2 lead.
- In the third, the Bengals would add another goal followed by a pair of Saxon goals.
- The Bengals would pad their lead in the fourth with four more goals to cruise to victory.
FOR THE FOES
- Morgan Wise led the Saxons with two goals.
- Hailey Stroh picked up a pai of assists while Alyssa Piechota made 18 saves.

The Bengals will head on the road this weekend as they open SUNYAC-play. The team will visit Plattsburgh on Saturday with an 11:00 am start time.
