BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State softball team is set for a pair of non-conference doubleheaders over the next two days, hosting Medaille in the Home Opener this afternoon at 3 pm and 5 pm. The Bengals then travel to Nazareth Wednesday for contests at 3 pm and 5 pm.

EYES ON THE BENGALS

• Buffalo State enters the week with a 9-5 overall record after a pair of SUNYAC victories over Fredonia on Saturday by final scores of 5-3 and 12-0.
• Kaitlyn Schnitzer (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) threw a two-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts in the second game for her fourth victory of the season. She also became the first Bengal pitcher since 2019 to record more than 10 strikeouts in a game, matching Emma Richard's 11 strikeouts against RIT.

• Medaille sports an 8-8 overall record, falling to Rochester in a pair of non-conference contests on Saturday afternoon.
• Breena Komarnisky leads the Mavericks at the plate and on the rubber, recording a team-best .438 batting average and 3.35 ERA this season.
