Softball Hosts Brockport Friday, Geneseo Saturday

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State softball team is back at home this weekend, hosting a pair of SUNYAC doubleheaders. The Bengals take on Brockport on Friday at 3 pm and 5 pm, before facing Geneseo on Saturday at 12 pm and 2 pm.

EYES ON THE BENGALS
  • Buffalo State enters the week with a 12-6 overall record (2-0 SUNYAC) after winning three out of four non-conference contests midweek against Medaille and Nazareth.
  • Madison Lucas (Oakdale, PA/West Allegheny) has a 7-2 record on the rubber for Buffalo State, while Kaitlyn Schnitzer (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) is 5-2 this season. Schnitzer has a team-best 2.92 ERA, while Lucas leads the Bengals with 40 strikeouts.
  • Jenna Wlostowski (Lancaster, NY/Alden) is riding a 10-game hitting streak into the weekend, batting .423 over that span with two doubles and three triples. Her three triples are also tied for fourth in the SUNYAC.

  • The Knights pitching staff has allowed the second-fewest runs in the conference, giving up just 3.5 runs per game.
