BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's lacrosse team fell short in their efforts against the Oswego State Lakers by a final score of 16-10 this afternoon at Coyer Field.

- Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville East) netted three of her own with 10 drawl controls.
- Beth Kulikowski (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) made 12 saves in the effort.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego's offense got off to a fast start as they scored four goals to start the action.
- Willick netted two of her goals to get the Bengals offense going before the Lakers tallied two more goals to close out the first.
- Buffalo State rallied to score three of the next four goals thanks to Fineour and Emilee Josker (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) to stay competitive.
- Oswego scored two more goals and went into halftime leading 9-5.
- The Bengals came out firing in the second half as they scored three straight goals in the opening two minutes thanks to Fineour, Willick, and Tashawni Cornfield (Gowanda, NY/Putnam).
- The Lakers would score five unanswered to close out the third.
- Fineour and Kacey Stack (Blasdell, NY/Frontier) would each score in the fourth by the Lakers would hand on for the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Julia Quirk led the Lakers with six goals in the win.
- Sela Wiley scored two of her own with seven draw controls.
- Sarah Kamide made five saves in the victory.
