INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Kaylee Valentic (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) had another strong performance as she netted two goals for Buffalo State.
- Elle Bush (Middleboro, MA/Middleboro) netted the third Bengal goal of the day.
- Ryan Berman (River Edge, NJ/River Dell) and Faye Panagopoulos (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore West) each snagged an assist.
- Addy Williams (Grapevine, TX/Grapevine) and Sam Kaufman (Cheektowaga, NY/West Seneca East) combined for three saves to keep the shutout.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals offense got rolling early as Valentic opened the scoring for the Bengals.
- Shortly after, Valentic would find the back of the net yet again after a feed from Berman.
- Hilbert could not get the offense going as they only had two shots in the first half.
- After the initial shot from Bush went just over the net, Panagopoulos regained possession and dished the ball up to Bush to solidify the Bengals lead.
- Despite two Buffalo State yellow cards, the Hawks offense could not get in a groove as they were outshot 26-6 on the afternoon.
- Buffalo State's 5-0-1 start is the best start to a season for the team since at least 1990.
FOR THE FOES
- Gabrielle Avallone led the team with two shots.
- Keira McFarland made nine saves in the effort.
