BUFFALO, NY – Former Buffalo State defensemen Hayden Ford (Medford, NJ/Philadelphia Revolution) has signed a professional contract with the Evansville Thunderbolts of the Sothern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). The Thunderbolts are based in Evansville, Indiana and compete against teams located in the southeastern United States region as well as Illinois and Indiana.
 
Ford earned his degree in business management from Buffalo State was a member of the men's ice hockey program for four season. As a Bengal, Ford registered 32 points on three goals and 29 assists over his career. Ford also earned recognition in the classroom being named to the CSC Academic All-District team and was named a finalist at the Buffalo State Athletics Awards (The "Benji's") for Male Senior-Scholar Athlete.
 
The Thunderbolts finished 32-22 last season to clinch a postseason spot. Evansville will open their season on Saturday October 21 as they host Huntsville at the Ford Center.
