FREDONIA, NY – The Buffalo State women's soccer team fell to Fredonia in a Battle by the Lake contest on the road on Wednesday evening by a final score of 7-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Fredonia got the scoring started in the eighth minute on a goal by Katie Sellers. Sellers then added her second goal of the game two minutes later.
- Buffalo State pulled back to within 2-1 with an unassisted goal by Bush in the 19th minute.
- Fredonia regained its two-goal advantage only ten seconds later, as Sellers completed her hat trick.
- Just two minutes later, Buffalo State scored again, as DiCarlo fed Valentic for her team-leading seventh goal of the season.
- As the Bengals looked for an equalizer, the Blue Devils were able to extend their lead with another goal in the 36th minute.
- Fredonia scored two goals in the 54th minute to make it 6-2, then a penalty kick goal in the 70th minute for the final tally of the contest.

- Sellers finished with four goals, while Gabrielle Irwin had four assists.
