BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's volleyball team fell in three sets to the visiting New Paltz Hawks this afternoon at the Buffalo State Sports Arena.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Samantha Coakley (Lockport, NY/Lockport) led the team with eight kills.
- Ella Wittman (Cheektowaga, NY/Springville Griffith) and Adi Vergara (Rio Grande, Puerto Rico/Kingdom Christian) each tallied 10 digs.
- Riley Domin (Getzville, NY/Williamsville South) registered 14 assists for the Bengals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The opening set proved to be the most competitive as the Bengals kept it close throughout.
- The Bengals gained some momentum after scoring seven of nine points before New Paltz rallied back into the action.
- A swift 9-2 run from the Hawks propelled them into the lead before they finished the first set with a win.
- New Paltz dominated the opening of the second set jumping out to a 9-2 start.
- Despite a late effort from the Bengals, the Hawks were able to hang on for the set win after scoring five of the last six set points.
- The Hawks finished the third and final set with a 10-2 run to secure the match sweep.
FOR THE FOES
- Mackenzie Williams and Jamie Albrecht each had 11 kills in the victory.
- Cate DiGiacomo led the way with 25 assists.
