BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's volleyball team cooled the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs, cruising to a 3-0 win and keeping their undefeated SUNYAC season active.

- Ella Wittman (Cheektowaga, NY/Springville-Griffith) was on fire for the Bengals, leading the team with 12 kills, and two aces.
- Karlie Shaffer (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown East) led the Bengals with 27 assists and was credited for two blocks on the night.
- Nicole Delli Colli (Rye, NY/Rye) contributed for the Bengals with 12 digs, and six kills.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Today's matchup featured two of the three undefeated teams in the SUNYAC, and the adrenaline for both teams was through the roof. The Bengals came out swinging first, in route to an early rallying and taking the lead 4-1 in the first set. The Mustangs, however, would fight back with a rally of their own and tying the matchup consistently as the first set went on. The Bengals would continue their fight back, with 'Bengal Country' behind their back in the stands and would take the first set win 25-21.
- The second set would be a "wake-up call" for the Bengals, with the Mustangs taking an early set lead 4-1. The Bengals, not knowing how to quit, would fight-back to a five-point rally taking a 11-6 lead. Both teams would precede to battle back and forth throughout the second set, but the Bengals found an answer and with a five straight points rally, taking the second set 25-21, and clinching a third set sweep of the Mustangs.
- The third set saw the Bengals come out hot, rallying six straight points, taking a commanding lead of 17-9. However, the Mustangs wouldn't go down without a fight of their own, rallying five straight points and keeping this game within arm's reach. Still, the Bengals proved to be too strong and would close out the set 25-21 and sweeping the Mustangs 3-0.
FOR THE FOES
- Emily Huppee led the Mustangs with 18 kills, with Cassandra Bellmore tallying 26 assists and Kayla Sheasby contributing with 19 digs.
