HOW IT HAPPENED

As play continued, the Red Dragons would continue to play hot, holding the Bengals to only nine set points and taking the first set win 25-9.
  • The second set saw the Bengals come into their own and playing the 'Bengal Way' that got them this far in SUNYAC play. With momentum bouncing between both teams, the Bengals would respond with a five-point rally and taking a 12-11 set lead. As teams traded points, both teams would lock at even at 22-22 but a three-point rally for the Red Dragons was enough to take the second set win 25-22.
  • The third set saw the Red Dragons stormed out the gate with a 7-1 set lead, mirroring the first set performance. With their backs against the wall, the Bengals willed themselves to continues points, until rallying four straight points and taking a 16-14 lead. Things would get tense as the Bengals would take a 24-22 lead, looking to clinch a set victory but the Red Dragons stormed back, rallying our-straight points and clinching the 3-0 sweep of the Bengals.
