HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Entering their 2024-25 campaign, the Bengals looked to open the season on a strong note…and that they did! In the first period, both teams were kept off the board, thanks in part to strong goaltending play. However, things looked strong for the Bengals, who kept the pressure early on the Knights with continuous shots, and leading the shot total 11-3 as the first intermission arrived.
  • In the second period, things would look a little shaky for the Bengals, as they went down 1-0 in the first minute of the second period. But thanks to their strong play, the Bengals were able to answer back in the 7th minute of action, tying the game at 1-1. As the second intermission neared, the Bengals would score their 2nd goal of the day on the Power-Play and wouldn't look back. The Bengals out-shot the Knights 23 to 4 in the second period.
  • In the third period, the Bengals would continue the pepper the Knights with shots and would add three more goals to close a dominating first game with a 5-1 victory on the road. The Bengals out-shot the Knights 19 to 7 in the third period.
FOR THE FOES
  • Charlotte Labre was credited with the lone goal for the Knights, with Lily Inoue and Kaylynn Savoy on the assist.
  • Noelle Woodard did her best to keep the Knights in this match-up, making an astounding 48 saves in net.
