FREDONIA, NY – The Buffalo State cross country team finished off their 2024 season this afternoon as they raced at the NCAA Niagara Regional Meet hosted by Fredonia.

TEAM SCORES: Men: 14^th Overall, Women: 21^st Overall

The Bengal Breakdown

• Noah Holden (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) led the Bengal men finished 46^th overall with a time of 26:54.
• Gio Ventura (Geneva, NY/Geneva) also had a strong showing racing to a time of 27:03, crossing the line in 52^nd place.
• Josh Mayer (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) raced to a personal best time of 27:33 for the Bengals.
• Katelyn Becker (Buffalo, NY/School for Applied Tech) and Sophia Janik (Lockport, NY/Akron) led the Bengal women each running season best marks.
• For the men, it was their highest team finish since 2012. For the women, it was their best finish at the regional meet since at least 2007.
