HOW IT HAPPENED
- Closing out a weekend road trip, the Bengals looked to return back to Buffalo securing two-wins against SUNYAC foes. Entering the first period against the Roos, the Bengals went on the attack first with Chunchukov netting his first goal of the game in the 13th minute marker of the game. While the Roos would go on an attack of their own, the lone goal would be enough to bring the Bengals into the first intermission with a 1-0 lead. The Bengals were outshot by the Roos 13-6 in the period.
- In the second period, the Roos would continue their attack on the Bengals defense. After a flurry of shots on goal, the Roos would even the score at 1-1 in the ninth minute of the period. The Roos would score another goal in the 11th minute, taking a 2-1 lead on the Bengals entering the second intermission. The Bengals were outshot by the Roos 12-8.
- The third period would see the Bengals return the favor, going into attack mode against the Roos. Keeping the puck in the Roos zone as much as possible, the Bengals remembered their resiliency from last-night's matchup, with Chunchukov's second goal of the night coming in the 13th minute of the period, tying this matchup. The 2-2 tie would carry into the third intermission, with another overtime savior needed for the Bengals.
- In overtime, the Bengals forced a penalty on the Roos, in route to a four on three power-play opportunity where Tolan was able to score the game-winning goal in the first minute of action.
