HOW IT HAPPENED
- Arriving with full stomachs and good vibes, the Bengals looked to carry the momentum from their game against Hilbert College into today's matchup. The first period saw that plan go into fruition, as the Bengals would strike first with a goal from Ramseier in the first minute of play. This goal would force the Bengals to lean on their defense throughout the period, as the Roos would go on a counterattack to even the game. However, the Bengals held steady, entering the first intermission up 1-0. The Bengals were out shot 14 to seven in the period.
- Entering the second period, the Bengals opened strong, pressuring the Roos defense with multiple shots on goal. However, the Roos wouldn't go down without a fight, tying the game in the 11th minute of play. The tie would hold heading into the second intermission, 1-1, with the third period being an open chance for either team. Both teams complied 15 shots for the period.
- As the third period began, momentum would shift to the Roos, who's offense kept their attack on the Bengals defense. This attack would lead to a goal in the 13th minute of play…and would end up being the game-winning goal, as the Bengals would drop this matchup. The Roos outshot the Bengals, nine to three, in the period.
FOR THE FOES
- Danika Lalonde and Riley Andzel were each credited for one goal and an assist on the day. Isabella Paswaters and Ashten Morris also were credited with assists today.
