GENESEO, NY – The Buffalo State men's hockey team fell short in a comeback bid against No. 5 Geneseo on Saturday evening, falling by a score of 2-1 on the road in SUNYAC action.

- Joe Glamos (Baldwinsville, NY/New Jersey Titans) scored the lone Buffalo State goal.
- Anthony Morin (Greenfield Center, NY/Utica Jr. Comets) and Jackson Barrett (Zionsville, IN/Northland College) each registered an assist.
- Marcus Cumberworth (Surrey, BC/Olds Grizzlys) made 34 saves in goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team was able to score in the opening period, with Cumberworth making 17 saves as the Knights outshot the Bengals 17-4 in the period.
- Geneseo got on the board early in the second period, as Zach Rehbaum netted a goal 2:41 into the period.
- Late in the second period, Glamos had a breakaway after getting out of the penalty box, but Geneseo goaltender Jacob Torgner made a strong save.
- Seconds later Geneseo scored at the other end, as Peter Morgan ripped a shot past Cumberworth in the final minute of the frame.
- Midway through the third period, Buffalo State got on the board, as Glamos sent a shot past Torgner after a quick feed from below the goal line by Morin.
- The Bengals had a pair of power-play opportunities in the final ten minutes, but Geneseo was able to keep Buffalo State from finding an equalizer.
- Cumberworth was pulled for an extra attacker in the final two minutes, but the Bengals could not take advantage.

- Torgner finished with 28 saves for Geneseo.
