BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's hockey team went ahead in the third period, but host Plattsburgh scored four unanswered goals as the Bengals fell to the nationally-fifth ranked Cardinals on Friday evening by a score of 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals struck first early in the opening period, as Morin stole the puck from a Cardinal defenseman, and ripped a wrist shot into the top right corner of the net just 2:53 into the game.
- The game remained 1-0 at the intermission, as Cumberworth turned aside all 17 shots he faced in the frame.
- Plattsburgh tied the game with a power-play goal with five minutes remaining in the second period, and the score remained tied into the intermission.
- Buffalo State jumped ahead again in the third period, taking advantage of a Plattsburgh penalty.
- Just six seconds after the power play began, Glamos found the back of the net to give the Bengals a 2-1 lead.
- Plattsburgh tied the game just over a minute later, then took the lead for the first time 12:49 into the period.
- Another goal by the Cardinals with under four minutes remaining extended the lead, and Plattsburgh then added an empty-net goal with 1:25 left in the game for the 5-2 final.
