VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Natalia Sawyer (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) led a trio of Bengal women who competed at the Norfolk State Pre-National Meet over the weekend as the Buffalo State women's track and field team visited the site of this year's NCAA Indoor National Championships.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Sawyer was second in the 60-meter dash, finishing in 8.60 seconds, just one-tenth off the school record.
- Sawyer also took fourth in the 200-meter dash, while Makhia Laster (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter) was eighth and Jenna Raczka (Cheektowaga, NY/Maryvale) was 12th in the event.
- Raczka finished the 400-meter dash in 57.60 seconds to take fourth in the event.
- Laster's mark of 5.21 meters in the long jump was good enough for sixth in the event.
