BUFFALO, NY – Jessica Auge (Laingsburg, MI/Honeybaked Detroit) made 36 saves in goal for the Bengals, but the Buffalo State women's hockey team was downed by Canton 3-1 on Tuesday evening at the Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- At the end of an evenly matched first period, Canton took the lead on a shot from the slot by Iida Laitinen with just over a minute remaining.
- The Kangaroos outshot Buffalo State in the second period 17-9, and added a pair of goals to lead 3-0 at intermission.
- Danika Lalonde redirected a shot from the point for a power-play goal for Canton just past the midway point of the period.
- Four minutes later, Desiree Snook tapped in a rebound in front of goal to extend the lead.
- Early in the third period, Auge made multiple strong saves, including a breakaway save.
- In the final minute, Willick intercepted a pass and started a two-on-one with Ursell, who knocked in a pass at the back post for a goal.
FOR THE FOES
- Snook finished with a goal and an assist to lead the Kangaroos.
