POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Buffalo State men's volleyball team fell short in three sets in a matchup with #6 Vassar tonight at Kenyon Hall.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Jake Woelfel (Buffalo, NY/West Seneca West) led the Bengals with match-high 12 kills in the effort.
- Jackson Stang (Tonawanda, NY/Sweet Home) paced the Bengals with 20 assists and nine digs.
- Gavin Wilczewski (Elma, NY/East Aurora) had four service aces in the effort.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vassar jumped out early scoring 11 of the first 16 points in the first set.
- Buffalo State attempted to claw back into the action, however, Vassar finished the set with a 5-3 run.
- The Brewers took control in the second set early until the Bengals offense started to click.
- A 5-2 run from the Bengals capped-off by a kill from Stang have the Bengals the advantage.
- Vassar responded with a 6-3 run to retake the lead.
- Despite the Bengals pushing back to tie things 24-24, the Brewers were able to score the final two points to win the second set.
- Vassar dominated later in the third set to secure the victory.
FOR THE FOES
- Vaughn Ramsey and Jacob Kim had eight kills each to lead Vassar.
- AJ Erickson dished out 17 assists.
