BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's basketball team fell short against the Plattsburgh State Cardinals tonight with a final score of 55-48 at the Sports Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Plattsburgh opened the action with a 17-8 lead after the first quarter.
- The Cardinals kept the pressure on in the second quarter and went into halftime with a 31-16 lead.
- The Bengals pounced out of halftime with a 15-7 run to shrink the Cardinal lead to seven.
- Buffalo State was able to cut the lead to five, however, the Cardinals were able to hang on in the final minutes to secure the win.
- The Bengals outrebounded the Cardinals with a 44-39 margin and shot 9-15 as a team from the free throw line.
FOR THE FOES
- Payton Couture led Plattsburgh with a double-double tallying 17 points and 11 rebounds.
- Imani Walcott chipped in 15 points and seven rebounds.
