BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's lacrosse team earned a 14-11 win over Grove City in a non-conference matchup on Coyer Field this afternoon.

- Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North) led the Bengals offense with six goals, an assist, five ground balls, two caused turnover and nine draw controls.
- Sarah Fineour (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) chipped in three goals for Buffalo State.
- Moira Penot (Clifton Heights, PA/Upper Darby) made five saves in goal to earn her third straight win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Buffalo State scored back-to-back goals, Grove City rallied on offense and scored three straight after the first quarter.
- The Bengals offense exploded in the second quarter scoring seven goals including three consecutive goals from Willick to close out the half as they Bengals led 9-5 at halftime.
- The Wolverines attempted to claw back into the action in the third, but the Bengals defense held strong with a two-goal lead heading into the final minutes of action.
- The Bengals were able to add three more goals in the final minutes to hang on for the win.
- Buffalo State outshot Grove City with a narrow 28-23 margin while also taking 16 draw controls compared to the Wolverines 13.

- Madison Nazigian led Grove City with five goals in the effort.
- Nazigian also had three groundballs and five draw controls.
