HAMBURG, NY – The Buffalo State men's volleyball earned a road victory tonight taking down the Hilbert Hawks in four sets at the Hafner Recreation Center.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Chi Jackson (Buffalo, NY/Cheektowaga) led the Bengals offense yet again with 18 kills while also chipping in eight digs and a trio of service aces.
- Gavin Wilczewski (Elma, NY/East Aurora) tallied 13 kills while Christopher Laboy (Ponce, Puerto Rico/Lafayette) added 10 of his own.
- Jackson Stang (Tonawanda, NY/Sweet Home) dished out 47 assists and had a team-high 12 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals jumped out to an early 5-3 lead in the opening set.
- Hilbert was able to cut the lead to two, however, the Bengals offense kept the pressure on and scored four of the final five points to secure the first set.
- Buffalo State continued the momentum into set two as they jumped out to a quick 8-3 start.
- Hilbert would respond with a 6-1 run to even things 9-9.
- After Buffalo State scored the next four points, the Hawks rallied back and forced the Bengals into extra points.
- A kill from Jackson and an attack error from the Hawks allowed Buffalo State to win the set.
- Hilbert controlled much of the third set late and eventually forcing a fourth set after an attack error from the Bengals.
- After jumping out to a 5-2 start in the fourth set, Hilbert rallied to eventually cut the lead to 10-8.
- The Bengals ended the night on an 8-1 run as they earned the win following a kill from Jackson.
FOR THE FOES
- Alex Overhoff led the Hawks with 13 kills while Austin Candler dished out 36 assists.
- Connor Higgins led the team with 18 digs.

Buffalo State is back at in action as the embark on their final road trip next weekend to battle St. Joseph's (Long Island), NYU, and Ramapo College.
