BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's lacrosse team had a historic afternoon as they scored the most goals in a game in program history over the SUNY Poly Wildcats with a final score of 27-4 on Coyer Field. The team also hosted their "Every Child Matters" Game.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Sage Running Rabbit (Siksika, AB/Strathmore) set the tone for the Bengals offense scoring six goals with five assists.
- Sarah Fineour (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) added five goals of her own in the win and Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North) had a team-high three ground balls.
- Emilee Josker (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) tallied four goals while also leading the team with eight draw controls.
- Malenne Vinueza (New York, NY/Frederick Douglas Academy) netted her first career collegiate goals and nine Bengals in total tallied at least one point.
- Moira Penot (Clifton Heights, PA/Upper Darby) needed to make just four saves to secure the win in goal.
- The Bengals 27 goals broke the program record which was previously 23 set by the 2018 and 2019 teams against Fredonia.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State opened the scoring with four unanswered goals as Running Rabbit twice, Josker, and Anna Cinquino (Conesus, NY/Livonia) each scored.
- Madyn LeFleur got the Wildcats on the board near the end of the first.
- After a Fineour goal to start the second, the Wildcats scored back-to-back goals to cut the lead to 5-3.
- The Bengals rallied to score eight of the next nine goals to take a 13-4 lead into halftime.
- In the third, the Bengals scored seven unanswered goals as Brooklyn Hill (Six Nations, ON/McKinnon Park) scored along with Fineour, Running Rabbit, Josker, and Willick.
- Buffalo State kept the offense going in the fourth as Tala Abdellatif (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) and Lauren Rinow (Lakeview, NY/Frontier) joined in on the scoring.
- The Bengals defense kept SUNY Poly off the board in the second half while allowing just two shots.
FOR THE FOES
- Katie Kopcza led SUNY Poly with two goals and four draw controls.
- Jayden Brown made 12 saves in goal for the Wildcats.
