GENESEO, NY – The Buffalo State women's lacrosse team dropped their SUNYAC matchup with the Geneseo Knights tonight with a final score of 19-6 at College Stadium.

- Sarah Fineour (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) and Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville East) each had two goals for Buffalo State.
- Lauren Rinow (Lakeview, NY/Frontier) and Sage Running Rabbit (Siksika, AB/Strathmore) each picked up a goal as well while Anastacia Wells (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) led the team with two caused turnovers.
- In goal, Moira Penot (Clifton Heights, PA/Upper Darby) and Brielle Lum (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) combined for six saves in the effort.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo got the scoring started netting four unanswered goals.
- Shortly after with a woman-up advantage, Rinow found the net to get the Bengals on the board.
- After Geneseo scored two more goals, Willick scored for the fourth straight game.
- The Knights grew their lead in the second and carried a 14-2 lead into halftime.
- Fineour scored from the free position in the third to score in her second consecutive game.
- The Bengals tallied their final three goals in the fourth, but Geneseo was ultimately able to cruise the final minutes for the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Maddie Brown and Alaina Reina each had four goals for the Knights.
- Emily DeJohn made a pair of saves in the win.
