OSWEGO, NY – The Buffalo State women's lacrosse team dropped their SUNYAC matchup with the Oswego Lakers tonight with a final of 19-6 at the Laker Turf Stadium.

• Lauren Rinow (Lakeview, NY/Frontier) lead the team with four ground balls while three other Bengals picked up a point on offense.
• In goal, Moira Penot (Clifton Heights, PA/Upper Darby) and Brielle Lum (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) combined for 10 saves in the effort.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Buffalo State got the scoring started as Brooklyn Hill (Six Nations, ON/McKinnon Park) scored less than one minute into the action.
• The Lakers responded with four unanswered goals to take the lead.
• After Willick scored, Oswego added a pair of goals to finish the first.
• Oswego pulled away in the second to take a 14-3 lead into halftime.
• The Bengals added a trio of goals in the fourth, but Oswego held strong to cruise for the victory.
• Buffalo State had a narrow advantage in ground balls with 13 while the Lakers compiled 12.

 
FOR THE FOES

• Sela Wiley led the Lakers with five goals and five draw controls.
• Isabella Lembo and Madison Davis each added four goals in the win.
